This week we learned about our third class of animals...Birds. We learned about the parts of a bird and made our very own bird feeders. We got lucky with some nice weather this week so we also spent some extra time outside to play and check out some birds in their natural habitat.
Next week we will be learning about Dr. Seuss and reading some of his famous books. We will read one Dr. Seuss book a day and make a project or do an assignment related to that book. This is a very fun week!
On Tuesday we spent some time talking more about President's Day. We reviewed what we learned about Abraham Lincoln and then we learned about George Washington. The Kindergarten hallway is decorated with some awesome looking projects of our two Presidents!
We have started writing our own individual "how to" books. Every child starts with a graphic organizer and then uses their graphic organizer to complete their books. The students will be working on these for the rest of the month.
Michigan Science Center Field Trip
Permission slips went home earlier this week. You may pay by cash or through EZ Pay. If you choose the EZ Pay option, please write your payment code on the permission slip you are sending in. All permission slips are due by Monday, March 13th.
